The mx master 3 and the mx keys are connetec over bt. I have a MBPro 13' 2019 running macOS 12.4 connected to my LG 34UC99W via usb c. At other times, both my Mac and my monitor would wake up.
Sometimes it was enough for my monitor to wake up. For one example (and there are several) you can think to Terminal.app. I have almost the same problem, but my Mac does not always wake up completely. Please note this is not the same as "reopen current windows", because certain programs have a more complex status than just having an open window and its position.
